Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal has rejected Union Minister Virbhadra Singh’s allegations against his Govt and blame Congress leader for distorting facts to gain political mileage.
Prem Kumar Dhumal blamed Virbhadra Singh for distorting facts and said that Congress leader is perturbed over the development and public response to the BJP Govt. CM advised Virbhadra Singh to not cross limits of decency. CM further added that Virbhadra Singh corruption allegations against BJP Govt are totally wrong. CM dared him to produce proofs. He claimed that it was during the Virbhadra regime that Section 118 of the Tenancy and Land Reforms Act was amended on five occasions. He added that the maximum cases that found mention in the report on benami land deals pertained to his regime.
The Chief Minister said the contents of the CD on the basis of which a case was in court could not be changed. Prem Kumar Dhumal also taken a dig at him over Kangra issue and advised him to refrain from playing with the sentiments of the people of Kangra on the issue of creation of new districts as a decision will be taken as per the wishes of the people of the district. It is not first time when these two leaders have criticised each other in public. As assembly election are barely a four months away, we can hope for the more political repercussions.
