The ruling BJP has challenged the opposition Congress to fulfill its promise of providing unemployment allowance to jobless now with the help of the UPA regime rather than taking the people for a ride by making false promises just to grab power.
In a statement, state BJP spokesperson Ganesh Dutt said the Congress had promised to provide unemployment allowance to jobless educated youth if voted to power. He remarked that if the Congress is so serious in its intentions then why they are not providing this allowance now so that people start trusting them.
The BJP leader blamed Congress for making false promises and added that this time it won’t help them as now people of the state know that Congress only make tall claims before the poll and forget everything after assuming office.
In his statement, Ganesh Dutt also rejected Congress claims about the sufficient Centre’s monetary assistance to the Himachal Pradesh. He said that despite two Union Ministers from state, Himachal did not get its fair dues from the UPA Govt. Ganesh Dutt has shown faith in his Prem Kumar Dhumal’s leadership and work done in his last four years of rule and hopeful to retain power in the forthcoming assembly election.
