Chief Minister visited Kinnaur district and while addressing the gathering he talked about the various developmental projects executed in district. He said that government is doing overall development of the state and Kinnaur is another part which is being developed rapidly by the government amidst the tough terrain. Chief Minister said government has announced many developmental schemes for the district like Mini Secretariat at Bhawa nagar that is being constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.5cr. Tehsil office at Moorang, combined offices at Pooh that is being constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.73 crore, High School building at Barang at a cost of Rs. 54 lakh, auditorium hall in Government Degree College, Peo at a cost of Rs. 1.92 crore, School building at a cost Rs. 71 lakh at Samiru, Flow irrigation scheme at a cost of Rs. 2.5 crore for Nanajo-Tranda, flow irrigation scheme at a cost of Rs. 12.45 crore for Kansang-Jangi, 2nd phase. He said that another flow irrigation scheme is being constructed for Them-Grang. He said that Telangi water supply scheme is being constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.18 crore and another water supply scheme for Gram Panchayat Ribba at a cost of Rs. 1.30 crore.
Chief Minister said that the welfare of deprived sections of the society and development of tribal areas was being given special attention by the present State Government with the motto of ensuring benefits of development prorgrammes to them. Narinder Bragta, Horticulture and Technical Minister congratulated the people of Kinnuar for maintaining the quality of apple and other crops. He said that the State Government had launched Rs. 85cr Apple Replantation Scheme. He said that with the opening of Polytechnic at Kalpa, youth of the area would be benefited immensely.
Tajwant Singh Negi, MLA thanked the Chief Minister for starting various developmental works in Kinnaur. Rikhi Ram Kaundal, Deputy Speaker, H.P. Vidhan Sabha, Chet Ram Negi, former Parliamentary Secretary, Surat Negi, District BJP President and other prominent persons were present on the occasion.
