31st meeting of State-level Committee in respect of 15% Central Capital Investment Subsidy, with a maximum limit of Rs. 30 lac per unit, was held under Chairmanship of J.S. Rana, Directer (Industries).

Rana said that 105 claims of units including Eco-Tourism Resort and Hotels which have already commenced production in the State involving Rs. 21.98 crore Central Capital Investment Subsidy was approved. He said that these units had fulfilled all the conditions required such as minimum 70% employment to Himachalis etc. He said that the benefits under the scheme was available to eligible units which commenced commercial production after 7th January, 2003 and continued to be in production for a period of five years from the date of commencement of production.

Rana said that the benefit of subsidy was also available to the existing units as on 7th January, 2003 which subsequently goes for substantial expansion by not less than 25% increase in the value of fixed capital investment in plant & machinery. These units are now being advised to complete their documentations with HPSIDC to facilitate release subsidy amount to them, he added.

He said that after receiving the grant of subsidy, each unit would be required to submit the annual progress report to the Ministry of Commerce of Industries, (Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion), Govt. of India/State Government about its working for a period of five years after going into commercial production.
