A Spokesman of Health Department said here today that an awareness campaign will be organized from 14th June to 14th July, 2011 in the State on the occasion of World Blood Donation Day. The theme for this year Blood Donation Day is ‘More Blood More Life. He further said that Health Minister Dr. Rajeev Bindal will inaugurate the blood donation campaign at Baddi, Solan.
He said that a month long awareness campaign will be organized for Anganwari workers, youth, employees of State and Central Governments, NGOs, Police, paramilitary forces and para medical employees. During the campaign, awareness rallies would be held by the NCC and NSS volunteers, said he. He added that blood donation camps will also be organized at block level.
