The State AIDS Control Society will prepare a diet chart for the HIV/AIDS patients so that they could lead a longer life. This was stated by Dr. Rajeev Bindal, Health Minister while presiding over the State level Workshop on HIV/AIDS here today. A sum of Rs. one crore has been spent for providing education and other requirements for the children of those suffering with HIV/AIDS, besides, providing free medicines to these patients from ART Centres and to and fro bus fare to these centres, said the minister. He advised such patients to get themselves registered in BPL families so that they could take benefits of National Health Insurance Scheme.
The aim of this workshop was to boost the morale of HIV/AIDS patients and solve their grievances. As many as 100 HIV/AIDS patients participated in the workshop and also shared their problems. Director Health Services Vinod Pathak and other officers of State AIDS Control Society were present on the occasion.
