National President Mahila Morcha BJP Samriti Irani kicked off statewide public awareness campaign against corruption, inflation and black money from Kullu on Saturday. Addressing huge gathering of women congregated from three assembly segments of distt. Kullu Irani said UPA 2 in the centre has miserably failed to control inflation and corruption in the country. Lambasting on UPA, she said that rooting of corruption has become a national need and all common people of the country should come out for this true cause. Samriti Irani congratulated Dhumal govt., for successfully implementing Beti Anmol yojna, Matri Suraksha Yojna and free institutional delivery in govt., hospitals in Himachal Pradesh. She said that today’s Pad Yatra of Mahila morcha is Akrosh Yatra to express public languishment and anxiety of the people facing due to spiraling prices and unending corruption. She urges all women workers to fight against inflation and corruption so that poor people may heave a sigh of relief. Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal first of all thanked Irani on behalf of the people of Himachal for coming to Kullu to preside over the function of Pad Yatra which will be concluded on 30th April in Sundernagar by Rajnath Singh. While addressing a mammoth rally in Dhalpur Maidan Dhumal announced to open a Polytechnic College in Kullu and also gave a signal to soon open private University in Kullu whenever land in found out. He said that congress and inflation are twin sisters of this country and demon inflation has increased only due to wrong policies of the UPA govt. while appreciating the previous NDA government’s achievements, Dhumal said that our govt. in Himachal provided 3 types of pulses, refined oil, mustered oil, salt and other essential commodities on subsidised rates for all ration card holders without any discrimination. He said that during NDA govt. ration was cheaper in open market than PDS. UPA govt., is supplying wheat to wineries and distillers for fermenting liquor, but not to poor for their livelihood.
