Lahaul Spiti Distt. administration team led by SDM Virender Singh carried an aerial survey of two heavily snow bound panchayats Sissu and Koksar near the Rohtang Pass. They also arranged the air-dropping of buiscuits and medicines for the affected areas on Sunday. Villages of these panchayats were totally isolated from rest of the world due to heavy snowfall and break down of communication systems and electrical supply. The SDM confirmed on phone that all the villages are safe and no signs of glaciers have been seen in and around these villages.
