Government providing mobile phones to officers posted in H.P. Secretariat

A Spokesman of the State Government said that the Government has provided telephone/mobile facility to the officers posted in H.P. Secretariat as well as in the field offices in order to ensure their availability for emergency situations. He said that Government has taken serious note that some officers posted in various departments generally keep their mobile phones switched off after office hours which creates difficulty in contacting them at hours of need. It was re-emphasised that all the officers in Head offices and in field should keep their mobile phones switched on even after office hours and on holidays so that no inconvenience is caused to the public as well as to other officers and public representatives who may be trying to contact them.
