State Government has double the royalty on construction material. The royalty has been raised from Rs 20 per tonne to Rs 40 per tonne. It will directly impact on the prices of infrastructure building items like as sand, coarse aggregate, bricks and stone. Estimate suggests the cost of sand and coarse aggregate is likely to go up by Rs 4 per foot. With this royalty hike, truck of sand will cost around Rs 4500 which was earlier cost about Rs 3500. Currently a brick is costing Rs 4.50, and now it will be likely raised to Rs 5.50.
