The State Government was spending Rs. 107 crore on the construction of roads and bridges in Kutlehar assembly segment during the current financial year. This was stated by Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister after inaugurating the building of Senior Secondary School in Baul area of Kutlehar in Una district constructed at a cost of Rs. 66 lakh. He said that Sub Divisional Office (Civil) would be set up in Bangana soon to facilitate the people of the area.
Chief Minister said that the State was providing free uniform to nearly 10 lakh students from Class 1st to 10th in Government schools twice a year. He said that this would bring about uniformity amongst students belonging to different sections of the society He said that ‘Mukhyamantri Vidyarthi Swasthya Yojna’, which envisages medical check up of school students so that they could lead healthy lives was effectively being implemented in the State.
Prof. Dhumal said that the Government had been working relentlessly to fulfil the promises made to the people in the State. He said that the Sate had made rapid strides in all sectors and the Government had directed its efforts towards benefitting every section of the society. He said that this Government was of farmers, horticulturists, women, children, dalits, employees, workers and youth and the welfare of the common man was the priority of the Government.
Chief Minister said that State Government was spending Rs. 130 crore this year on providing pulses, refined oil and salt to the people every month and giving Rs. 166 crore subsidy to people for providing electricity on cheaper rates. Prof. Dhumal assured that all efforts would be made for channelization of Lunkhari khad. He said that boundary wall of school would also be constructed at the earliest.
Earlier, Chief Minister participated in the religious congregation at Baba Bal Radha Krishan temple and listened to the religious sermons. Chief Minister also inaugurated Science Block of Senior Secondary School at Thana Kalan constructed at a cost of Rs. 101.63 lakh and performed the foundation laying ceremony of Outdoor Stadium and Multi Purpose Hall to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 130 lakh.
Virender Kanwar, Chief Parliamentary Secretary welcomed the Chief Minister and thanked him for the construction of most modern road being built with the assistance of World Bank. He detailed out the various developmental works being undertaken in the area. Satpal Satti, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Balbir Chaudhary, MLA, Kripal Parmar, Ex MP, Santosh Saini, Chairperson, HIMFED, Rani Ranaut, Chairperson, Zila Parishad, Balbir Bagga, President, State BJP Scheduled Castes Morcha, prominent persons and senior officers of the State Government were present on the occasion.
