Palampur: Himachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker Brij Behari Lal Butail, while hearing public grievances at a Khula Darbar organised at the PWD rest house Palampur, stressed the need for a quick redress of public grievances. He stated that redressing public grievances and transparency in governance was a priority of the state government.
Butail stated that if grievances were redressed at the lower level, people would be saved from travelling to Shimla and Dharamsala for petty matters.
He said during his stay at Palampur and Shimla, he was always available for the redress of public grievances at his residence and office.
He also directed government officials to devote enough time to hear public grievances and make serious efforts to solve them.
