The Met Department has issued warning of heavy rains during next 72 hours accompanied with thunderstorms in the state. The Spokesman of the State Government said here today as per the report of IMD the mid hills where launching sites for sorties are located i.e. Rampur, Shimla and high hills comprising Kinnaur district was like to be lashed by intermittent rains and thunder showers till 8th July,2013.
He said that the State experienced heavy rainfall during last month which was 151 percent above the normal. He said that the Kinnaur and Sirmaur district were the worst effected with Kinnaur receiving 1229 percent above normal rainfall and Sirmaur district receiving 798 percent above normal.
