Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal layed foundation-stone of Science block of Government Senior Secondary School, Dhalpur in Kullu district. Block will be cost of Rs. 80 lakh. He also laid foundation-stones of Rs. 9.39 crore proposed Art Block, Administrative Block and Auditorium of Government Degree College and 15 kms long widening and improvement of Dhalpur-Sildbadhani road to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 12.05 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister said that State Government had launched Rs. 64 crore, Atal School Uniform Yojna for the students of government schools from 1st to 10th class, twice a year with stitching charges of Rs. 100 per pair with a view to bring uniformity among the students.
Chief Minister said that State Government was endeavouring to provide quality education to the students of the State and it was marching towards becoming Educational Hub of the country. Prof. Dhumal announced Rs. 10,000 for promotion of cultural activities in the school.
Gobind Thakur, MLA also spoke on the occasion and urged the Chief Minister for providing Hostel facilities in the school. A.N. Bharati, Principal of the school proposed vote of thanks. Ravinder Singh Ravi, Irrigation and Public Health Minister, Khimi Ram, Forest Minister, Kishori Lal Sagar, MLA, Dhaneshwari Thakur, Chairperson, Mahila Commission, Ajay Rana, Vice President, State BJP, Ram Singh, President, District BJP, other prominent BJP leaders and senior officers were present on the occasion.
