Union Minister of state for skill development and entrepreneurship Rajiv Pratap Rudy informed that 49,499 Himachali candidates to be trained.
Rajiv Pratap Rudy, in his written reply to Shimla Member Parliament Virender Kashyap, stated that total 26 partner/training centers are affiliated under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna (2016-2020) in the state of Himachal Pradesh.
Rudy informed that 4 districts of Himachal Pradesh including Shimla district have been covered Under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK), to establish a model aspirational skill centres for imparting skill training to unemployed youths in the state. He said that a target has been fixed to train 49,499 candidates for four years (2016-20) to cover the prospective youth in hill districts of Himachal Pradesh
Union Minister of state further informed that a target has been fixed to train one crore youth in the country for 4 years with a total outlay of Rs 12,000 crores under PMKVY( 2016- 20 ).
The Minister said that PMKVY has envisaged to impart skilling / up-skilling trainings to prospective youth of the country through Short Term Training (STT) and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) through accredited and affiliated training partner/training centers. Under PMKVY (2016-20,) total of 3,362 centres are affiliated in the country.
