The Himachal Cabinet gave its nod to fill over 700 posts in various departments. The Cabinet meeting, presided by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, accorded its approval to fill as many as 500 posts of paramedical staff in Health and Family Welfare department on Rogi Kalyan Samiti basis either by direct recruitment, promotions or on batch wise basis.
The Cabinet gave its approval to fill one post each of Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in the CTVS department besides one post of Assistant Professor in Department of Neurosurgery in IGMC Shimla. It approved creation of two posts of designated officers in the department of Health and Safety Regulation with one post for the headquarter Shimla and the other in Kinnaur.
It also gave consent to create three posts of various categories for each primary health centre Dharogra in Shimla district and in PHC Kholanal (Bali-Chowki) in district Mandi besides creating five posts of various categories in Community Health Centre Bathri in Chamba district. Apart from this it allowed creating 10 posts of various categories in newly upgraded Community Health Centre at Baddi.
The Cabinet also accorded approval to fill by direct recruitment as many as 112 posts of Junior Engineers (civil) and five posts of Junior Engineer (mechanical) on contract basis through direct recruitment. It also decided to fill 10 vacant posts of Assistant Engineers (civil) through direct recruitment on contract basis in Irrigation and Public Health department. Besides it was also decided to fill 13 posts of various categories on contract basis in Town and Country Planning department and nine posts of different categories in Printing and Stationary department.
The Cabinet decided to create three posts of Assistant Sub Inspectors and 18 posts of constables in Police department for district Kullu. It also accorded approval to fill two posts of District Public Relations/Information officers by way of direct recruitment on contract basis.
