The Himachal Pradesh BJP has welcomed the Union Budget 2014-15 presented today by the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in the parliament.
In his press statement, Senior BJP leader and Leader of opposition Prem Kumar Dhumal has congratulated the Union Finance Minister for presenting balanced and consolidated budget despite constraint pressure of economy under the adverse and fast changing impact of International scenarios.
Dhumal believed that the Budget carries good news for almost every sections of the society be it farmers, youth, businessmen, industrialists or even the people with disabilities. He also welcomed the announcement for opening an Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Himachal Pradesh and Police Memorial.
Former Chief Minister said that the Budget has successfully captured the imagination of the people by addressing their hopes and aspirations. He also lauded the step of proposed hike in the income tax exemption limit from existing Rs 2 Lakhs to Rs 2.5 lakhs which will provide much needed relief to salaried class.
Dhumal further said that by outlaying Rs 3000 crores for police modernisation, the Budget has highlighted our government’s resolve to strengthen the existing police infrastructure in the country.
BJP senior leader said that the budget exhibiting an appetite for change and providing a much needed framework to realise the true potential of Indian economy.
Prem Kumar Dhumal further added that by proposing six new ‘Textile Clusters’, the Budget gives boost to Indian textile industries and also create job opportunities. Dhumal hopes that with this budget ‘Ache Din’ have started and defined a roadmap for ‘New Vibrant India’.
BJP state president Satpal Singh Satti also hailed the Union Budget. Satti said that Union Finance Minister has successfully addressed the need of the nation correctly. He welcomes the decision opening IIM in Himachal and believes that it would further strengthen its case to transform as education hub in the country.
