The Board of Directors of Forest Corporation in its meeting has decided to release the installment of dearness allowance of 10 percent to its employees from 1st July, 2013 thereby enhancing it to 90 percent from 80 percent. Forest Minister Thakur Singh Bharmouri presided over the meeting.
Kewal Singh Pathania, Vice Chairman, H.P. State Forest Development Corporation said that this would put additional burden of Rs. 29 lakh per month on the Corporation adding that Rs. 3.44 crore would be spent on arrears accrued from 1st July, 2013 to 30th June, 2014. He said that rates of daily wagers of various categories of the Corporation had also been enhanced which would be applicable from 1st April, 2014.
Principal Secretary Forest Tarun Shridhar, Special Secretary Finance K.R. Bharati, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest R.K. Gupta and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
