To conduct bye-election in Ward No. 11-Purana Bazar of Municipal Council, Sundernagar, District Mandi and Ward No. 3-Badripur of Municipal Council, Paonta Sahib, District Sirmaur, the State Government has declared 29th June, 2014 as a public holiday.
All the Government Offices, Boards, Corporations, Educational Institutions and Industrial Establishments situated in the State under Industrial Disputes Act and shops would remain closed on the said date in the area of above wards. This will also be a paid holiday to daily wages employees and also within the meaning of Section 25 of Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881.
Special casual leave may also be given to those employees who were working in different places in the State, but have a right to vote in above wards on the production of certificate from the concerned Presiding Officer that the employee has actually to cast his/her vote.
