Shimla: Senior Congress leader Kuldeep Rathore slammed the decision of HPCC of dissolving 34 Block Congress Committees after parliamentary poll debacle and termed it a total injustice to loyal grassroot workers.
Rathore said that by sacking grassroot party workers, who were instrumental for bringing party back into power in the state, won’t get anything for the party, but can further weaken party prospect for the future.
He asked state party president Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu to reconsider his decision in the better interest of party and advised to join hands to face the worst-ever defeats.
Without naming anyone, Kuldeep Rathore questioned the role of party senior leaders and asked them to take responsibility for the defeat. He accused party leaders, who are holding important seats in the government and party set-up, for ignoring common party workers and termed it as a biggest reason for the dismal performance in the Lok Sabha poll.
Earlier, senior party leaders Viplove Thakur and Asha Kumari has openly criticised the HPCC decision of dissolution of 34 Block Congress Committees.
