Congress senior leader and party in-charge Himachal Pradesh Rajiv Shukla clarified that Congress will seek votes on the basis of achievements and performance of the UPA and the State government.
In a press conference at Shimla, Shukla claimed to win all four Lok Sabha seats in the state. He also rejected any “Modi wave” in Himachal. He claimed that Modi wave is just media created and in the rural India it has failed to penetrate.

On holding of IPL matches in Himachal Pradesh, Shukla categorically said that the State Govt had not refused to provide security and said that he had himself talked to the chief minister, who promptly said that security would be provided within ten minutes.
Himachal Congress President Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Cabinet Minister Vidya Stokes, Dhani Ram Shandil, spokesperson Naresh Chauhan, PCC member Rajnessh Kimta, Harish Janartha, Harbhajan Singh Bajji and HP Youth Congress President Vikramaditya Singh were also present at the occasion.
