Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) announced the schedule for the rally of AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi which would be held on March 20 at Police ground in Dharamshala.
Addressing mediapersons here today, HPCC spokesperson Naresh Chauhan said that the party would organise a massive rally at Dharamshala which would be addressed by Rahul Gandhi at 11.30 am. Chauhan stated that thousands of party workers, supporters and people of the state would gather at Police Ground Dharamshala to hear the views of Rahul Gandhi on the issues concerning Himachal and the entire country as well.
Party national vice-president would interact with the office bearers of Pradesh Congress Committee, Executive Committee members, MLAs, ministers, Block Observers, District Congress Committee presidents, Block Congress Committee presidents and heads of frontal organisations in Dharamshala at Prayas Bhawan at 2.30 pm.
This would be first rally of Rahul Gandhi in Himachal after the election schedule was announced for Lok Sabha elections.
To make it grand event, HPCC president Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has given responsibility to senior party leaders. President has dictated senior party leaders, ministers, PCC Vice Presidents, General Secretary and Zone in-charges to visit their respective areas and asked to hold meeting in their concerned blocks to mobilise party workers and people of the state for the rally.
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi Dharamshala Rally was scheduled on March 8 and was postponed, cited the reason of busy schedule. State Congress had also deputed senior leaders for its preparation.
