Doon: Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee President Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu attended the meeting of Block Congress Committee Doon and asked party cadre to gear up for the forthcoming parliamentary election and ensure the victory of party’s candidates in the elections.
Sukhu asked party workers to spread awareness regarding people centric policies of the centre as well as state government among the general public of the state. “Congress led UPA government had launched various schemes and policies for the welfare of general public in its 10 years rule which has greatly benefitted them,” Sukhu said.
Sukhu also urged party workers to bring more and more people especially youth for the March 8 Dharamshala rally of Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi.
HPCC President directed all the BCC presidents to form Panchayat level committees and send the list of office bearers to Pradesh Congress Committee as soon as possible.
PCC General Secretary Harshvardhan Chauhan, Executive Committee member Madan Chaudhary, ex MLA Lajja Ram and DCC Solan President Rahul Thakur were also present at the meeting.
