BJP announces 184 candidate, Narender Modi to contest from Varanasi, Amit Shah will fight polls from Gandhinagar replacing LK Advani

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced its list of candidates for the Lok Sabha election 2019. BJP has announced 184 candidates in its first list, but in the first list party hasn’t announced candidates from the Himachal Pradesh.

BJP had won all four seats in 2014 Lok Sabha Election. Party core committee has recommended to re-nominate all four sitting MPs for the Lok Sabha elections 2019, but it’s resulting in resentment from the other ticket aspirants.

BJP has re-nominated Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Varanasi and Amit Shah has replaced LK Advani from Gandhinagar parliamentary. BJP veteran and party founder member LK Advani represented the Gujarat capital city seat of Gandhinagar for the last six terms.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh from Lucknow and Nitin Gadkari will contest from Nagpur. Smriti Irani will take on Rahul Gandhi from Amethi again.

BJP has announced 28 seats of Uttar Pradesh, 16 from Maharashtra, 14 from Kerela, 21 from Maharashtra, 8 from Assam, 5 from Uttrakhand, 5 from Jammu Kashmir, 10 from Odisha

Lok Sabha polls, to be held in seven phases across the country, begin April 11 and the counting of the votes will be held on May 23.
