A Mock Drill on Disaster Management would be conducted at State Secretariat on 8th October, 2013.
Presiding over a preparatory meeting for conducting the Mock Drill, Subhasish Panda, Secretary, General Administration disclosed that during the mock drill real life disaster of earthquake and fire would be stimulated for awareness generation regarding disaster management.
He said that various teams for awareness generation, warning, information, search, rescue, evacuation, fire fighting, alarm, space, transport management and media management had been constituted for the mock drill. He said that training for Disaster Management to the employees of the State Secretariat would be imparted on 5th and 7th October, 2013.
Dr. Amandeep Garg, Special Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management, Ashwani Sharma, Additional Secretary, GAD and senior officers of the State Government were present in the meeting.
