Tourism department started online SMS grievance system

Department of Tourism & Civil Aviation, Himachal Pradesh had launched online SMS grievance system. Any tourist having any grievance/complaint regarding any hotel, travel agent, tour operator, guides etc. or requiring assistance may contact the Department with details of grievance by sending an SMS through short code: HP tour followed by his/her grievances/complaint detail and then send to 51969. Thereafter the sender will receive the reply through SMS system.

Director, Tourism Subhasish Panda, while revealing it stated that the Department had also started online tourist statistic software and the trial run of the software in Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation hotels had been successful. He said that all the District Tourism Development Officers had been directed to implement the online tourist’s statistics software in all registered hotels in their respective jurisdiction.
