On the complaint of Vandana Kumari, Kangra police has arrested husband Ajay Kumar and father-in-law Prakash Chand. In her complaint, Vandana Kumari of Zamanabad village in Kangra has accused her husband, father-in-law, mother-in-law and sister-in-law for torturing, humiliated and harassing her for dowry soon after she married Ajay Kumar in 2007.
Vandana is pregnant and also has a child with Ajay Kumar. The police has registered a case under Section 498-A, IPC, and arrested husband and father-in-law, however, mother-in-law and sister-in-law were absconding. Police is searching for the absconding accused and investigating the case.
