The Himachal Lokhit Party (HLP) again fired a salvo at BJP leaders and accused previous Dhumal Govt for tapping the phone of Jai Ram Thakur, now Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Mandi.
In a press conference at Mandi, HPL leader Khushi Ram Balnatah has demanded to expedite probe into the phone-tapping case. HLP leader has also demanded to release the list of persons whose phones were tapped as it was a matter of violation of human rights and invasion of privacy.
HLP also asked the state government to take possession of the five-star hotel ‘The Pavilion’ from the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA). Balnatah claimed that HPCA five-star hotel was illegally built and asked Govt to take strong action against wrong-doers involved in it. HLP alleged that Dhumal gave land illegally to the HPCA for the hotel in Dharamsala. Balnatah also targeted private universities and alleged that the previous government had given between 500 bighas and 700 bighas to private universities while Himachal Pradesh University had just 50 bighas.
