A Himachal Pradesh BJP delegation met Governor Urmila Singh at her official residence and demanded the dismissal of the Congress-led UPA government at the centre for its alleged involvement in countless scams.
The BJP delegation, comprising Rajya Sabha member Balbir Punj and former chief minister and leader of opposition Prem Kumar Dhumal, Satpal Singh Satti, State BJP president along with hundreds of state party leaders and supporters met governor and submitted a memorandum to her.
The memorandum, addressed to President Pranab Mukherjee, highlighted alleged scams including 2G, coal block allocation, commonwealth game, Aadarsh Housing Society, Helicopter purchase scam, Aircel Maxis deal and many others. BJP, in its memorandum blamed Congress for promoting corruption and demanded President to suspend UPA Govt.
BJP also blamed Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for his involvement in 2G and Coal scam and also challenged the joint parliamentary committee’s (JPC) clean chit for Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister P. Chidambaram in the 2G scam.
