Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh blames previous BJP Govt for putting state exchequer in serious financial mess. He accused Dhumal led Govt for misrule and promoting corruption in state.

Singh said it while addressing Shimla Congress Rural general house, convened by the Shimla Congress, which was attended by Vidya Stokes, Horticulture and IPH Minister, Thakur Sukhvinder Singh (Sukhu), party state president, Harsh Mahajan, vice president State Congress, Anirudh Singh, Mohan Lal Brakta, Nand Lal, Rohit Thakur, legislatures, party district representatives and workers.

Virbhadra Singh lauded the effort of party workers and acknowledged their support and hard work for bringing party back into power in state. He said that dedicated party workers ensure Congress victory in state.

Vidya Stokes asked party workers to be united for the parliamentary election and advised them to sort out all differences amicably. She also praised the role of Virbhadra Singh for bringing party back in state. Stokes also thanked party national president Sonia Gandhi for appointing Thakur Sukhvinder Singh as state party president. She said that Sukhu has huge experience and he will lead party in right direction.

Thakur Sukhvinder Singh, in his address, lauded the role of party workers in assembly election and asked them to be ready for the forthcoming Lok Sabha election. He also praised Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh effort to bring party back into power in state. He acknowledged that without Singh it would have been difficult to wrench power from BJP.

Sukhu also launched verbal attack on leader of opposition Prem Kumar Dhumal. He accused him for misusing his political power for growing business. He accused Dhumal, his son and cabinet colleagues for putting Himachal land for sale. He also raised phone tapping issue in his address and demanded Chief Minister to through probe into it.

Harsh Mahajan, Anirudh Singh, Mohan Lal Brakta, Nand Lal, Rohit Thakur and block congress representatives also spoke on the occasion. Most of them vowed their support to him, but urged to shut the door for those leaders who had worked against party official leaders in the 2012 assembly election. They also welcomed the step to launch the membership campaign and advised party president to be vigil against the bogus membership.
