Himachal Pradesh remembered architect of the Constitution of India, Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar on his death anniversary. Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal paid floral tributes to Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar on his death anniversary, by offering flowers at the statue raised at Ambedkar Chowk, Chaura Maidan, here today. He was followed by Suresh Bhardwaj, Kishori Lal, MLAs, Sanjay Chauhan, Mayor and Tikender Panwar, Deputy Mayor, Municipal Corporation, Shimla, Sher Singh Chauhan, Chairman, Land Development Bank, Lekh Ram, Councillor and General Secretary, Ambedkar Mission Society, Subhashish Panda, Deputy Commissioner and other prominent people of the town.
Paying tributes to Baba Saheb, Chief Minister lauded his valuable contribution in framing the Constitution of India by incorporating provisions for all the sections of the society, especially for socio-economic upliftment of the down trodden sections. He said that Dr. Ambedkar was a visionary and intellectual who studied constitutions of different countries of the world before framing Constitution for independent India. He said that Dr. Ambedkar worked all his life for the welfare and upliftment of the weaker sections of the society and was a true Gandhian in philosophy and action. He said that real tribute to the great leader would be by extending supportive hand towards the development of the under privileged sections of the society and make India leader in the world.
