The war of words between Himachal Pradesh Congress president Virbhadra Singh and Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal is heating up ahead of state assembly elections. Singh, in the rally at Gandhi Chowk area of Hamirpur, has accused CM of misusing the police force. He alleged that Dhumal has been after him ever since the latter took over as chief minister of the state.
HPCC President alleged that Dhumal is looking for every possible mean to trouble him. He alleged that Dhumal led government has registered false cases against him. He stated that resentment is boiling inside him and the day it will burst, he will become a calamity for him.
Virbhadra Singh also accused sections of the media for allegedly conspiring against him to tarnish his image. Clarifying his position in his alleged involvement in the land allotment to a housing company, he stated that he had not given benefit of a single paisa to this company during his tenure as CM and stated to be ready to face any probe in the matter. He stated that such politics of character assassination should stop. He alleged that Dhumal have strangulated the law by misusing state police as domestic servants.
Mr. Singh didn’t stop here and went on commenting. He added
“I am a king by birth and your image is an illusion. You use the word professor as a prefix to your name. You should tell in which university you were a professor,”
However, BJP leader Prem Kumar Dhumal had accused Virbhadra Singh of emotionally blackmailing people with “false tears”. He asked electors to beware of such gimmicks and before casting votes just remember the lakhs of scam by UPA Govt.
