For its financial performance during the year 2011-12, SJVN has declared a total dividend of Rs. 388.84 crore. Against the 25.5% equity share in the Company, the Govt. of Himachal Pradesh has been paid a dividend of Rs. 99.17 crore against Rs. 84.40 crore paid last year. The dividend cheque was presented to Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Prem Kumar Dhumal by the Company CMD R.P. Singh alongwith Director (Civil) R.N. Misra, Director (Finance) A.S. Bindra and Director (Personnel) N.L. Sharma here today.
Handing over the cheque to the Chief Minister, R.P. Singh said that the Company had earned total revenue of Rs. 2136.79 crore and a net profit of Rs. 1068.68 crore during the financial year 2011-12. He said that as a result of the better financial performance, the Company had declared a dividend of Rs. 388.84 crore against Rs. 330.93 crore for the previous fiscal year.
R.P. Singh said that the Company’s 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station had achieved highest record generation of 7610 Million Units (MUs) during the year 2011-12 against design energy of 6612 MU. He further told that NJHPS had created yet another record by generating 1186 MU in a single month i.e. in July 2012 against the earlier highest record of 1151 MUs achieved in August 2011. He also informed that the highest ever single day generation of 39.015 MUs had also been achieved during July 2012.
During the quarter ending June 2012, SJVN’s 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station achieved the highest ever Plant Availability Factor (PAF) of 108% as against 103.6% du ring the corresponding period of last year. As a result of this, an additional income of Rs. 5.28 crore was earned, he said.
