Industries Minister Kishan Kapoor unfurled the National flag and took salute at an impressive march past presented by the contingents of home guards, NCC, NSS and Scout Guides in the District level Independence Day celebrations at historic Seri Manch in Mandi district today.
Earlier he paid floral tributes at Mahatma Gandhi’s idol. On this occasion, he said that steps are being taken to set up Maize based Industry at Mandi. He said that the State had witnessed unprecedented Industrial development. He further said that during the last three and half years, approval had been given to set up 4297 new Industrial units with an investment of Rs 16163 crore, which would provide employment to 147673 persons.
Roop Singh Thakur, Anil Sharma, Dile Ram, MLAs, Khiramani, Chairperson, Zila Parishad, prominent persons and district officers were present on the occasion.
At Kullu Dr. Rajeev Bindal, Health Minister presided over the District-level Independence Day function at the historic Dhalpur Ground. He unfurled the National flag and took salute at an impressive march past presented by contingents of Police, Home Guards and NCC.
Dr. Bindal said that Rs. 22 crore was spent on construction of hospital buildings in the district. He said that sex ratio was improving in the State because of schemes like Beti Hai Anmol. He said that 48,639 persons had been benefitted under Atal Swasthya Yojna so far.
Khimi Ram, State BJP President and MLA, Gobind Thakur, Kishori Lal, MLAs, Maheshwar Singh, Ex MP, Chandersen Thakur, Ex MLA, Hari Chand Sharma, Chairman, Zila Parishad were also present on the occasion.
