Chief Minister inaugurates 33 KV Sub Station at Khushnagri constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.95cr in Churah sub-division of Chamba district. This sub- station will benefit about 70,000 people of 138 villages. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister said with the construction of 33 KV Sub-Station at Khushnagri, five 11 KV feeder of Tarela, Local, Sai Kothi, Jhajjakothi and Devikothi had been taken out. He said that power reliability will now be increased and low voltage problems will also eliminate. Transmission and distribution losses will reduce and small power projects of Churah valley will get a corridor for the power generated in such projects.
Talking about the hydel power projects coming up in the state, Prof. Dhumal said that government will look into the interests of local people, but also urges to the local’s for their co-operation with the power projects. He said Himachal Pradesh will be the first state in the country which is signing an agreement with World Bank for carbon credit. The state will get the carbon credit benefits for generation of eco-friendly power generation in the State.
