Narinder Jamval a sanitation worker and Hemraj a boatman from Mandi district have been selected for the Godfrey Philip Awards for their exemplary services in the social and physical bravery categories in the north zone. Award will be given in November in New Delhi. Narinder Jamval will honor for this prestigious award for his exemplary service for spreading awareness and transformed the lives of over 45,953 rural families by encouraging them to build low-cost toilets for daily use. Whereas Hemraj will be honored for his utter bravery as he saved the lives of two women and a man who had fallen into the lake in three different cases. He also saved a bull from drowning in the lake.
