Narinder Awasthi has been appointed a new controller of examinations (CoE) in the Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) and gives a rest to the all month long controversies.

The executive council (EC) confirmed the appointment of Awasthi as CoE. In the meeting headed by the Vice Chancellor Prof SK Gupta, executive council also approved an annual budget of Rs 134.18 crore for the year 2011-12. EC also decided that the university would declare the results within 45 days of the completion of examination.
