Week-long International Shivratri festival at Mandi concluded today. Governor Urmila Singh preside the concluding ceremony. On the festive occasion Governor said that fairs and festivals of the State are symbol of our rich cultural heritage. Governor said that fairs and festivals had their own significance and goes a long way in strengthening the bond of brotherhood and fraternity. She added that Mandi Shivratri festival has its own importance in the religious ceremonies of the State and also provide an opportunity of get together to the people of various parts of the State. She said that Gods and Goddesses occupy significant place in our society and appreciated the efforts of Shivratri Festival Organising Committee in inviting 215 deities to the festival. She suggests to preserve the rich culture and traditions of the State for which it was known the world over.
