Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today released Rs. 3.20 lakh as financial assistance to the fire victims of Chamba town out of the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to help the fire sufferers.
Chief Minister expressed concern over the loss of property destroyed in devastating fire in Charpat Mohalla of historic Chamba town recently and conveyed his sympathies with the affected families. He said that despite best efforts of the district administration the property of the people could not be saved. He said that district administration had provided immediate relief to the affected families besides relief given under the Relief Manual. Chief Minister has also directed local administration to take all possible steps for rehabilitation of the affected families.
