Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Indus International University, Una A. R. Chauhan, is conferred with prestigious “Bharat Jyoti Award” by Dr. Iqbal Singh, Lt. Governor, Punduchery in an impressive function organized by NGO, India International Friendship Society at New Delhi today.
The award was presented in international seminar on “Economic Growth and National Integration” for his outstanding contributions in the field of higher education. He was presented “Certificate of excellence” for his outstanding achievements in the professional life. He was also conferred the “Rashtriya Rattan Award” in May 2009 for his outstanding individual achievements and distinguished services to the community.
Chauhan served as Registrar of Himachal Pradesh University for 16 years and is recipient of prestigious United States Full Bright Scholarship. He is also recipient of British Council Award for his enrich experience in the institutions of higher learning in British education system and visited London, Cambridge, Oxford, Manchester, Wales and other higher learning institution of British Govt.
A.R. Chauhan remained National vice-President of “Association of University Administration” for a period of two years.
He also visited Canada, Australia, Sweden, England, France, USA, Sigapore, Hong Kong and attended various international conferences and seminars held on higher educations in India and Abroad.
