Much awaited Reliance 4G high speed internet services formally launched today in Shimla. The state Chief Minister, Virbhadra Singh formally launched 4G services by making a video call to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Reliance communications, Gurdeep Singh in Mumbai.
Virbhadra Singh congratulated the Reliance communication limited for launching 4G services in Himachal Pradesh which would facilitate the people of the State with high speed internet services.
Virbhadra Singh said in the present era of globalisation and technology, the telecommunication sector has a vital role to play by connecting people and towards achieving the goal of ‘Digital India’.
The fourth Generation services, with new set of standards, include a combination of technologies that will make information transfer and internet capabilities faster and more affordable for cellular phones. He added that the initiative of Reliance in Himachal would continue to increase the number of capabilities and services to accommodate the growing needs of today’s ‘on the go’ culture.
The Chief Minister lauded the efforts of Reliance communications for launching 4G services throughout India and making connectivity better and fast.
Senior officers of Reliance Communication were also present on the occasion.
