Most high altitude areas of Himachal Pradesh were experiencing moderate to heavy snowfall and lower region experiencing rains coupled with high intensity winds from past two days.
The higher reaches of Kinnaur and the Lahaul-Spiti district experienced moderate to heavy snowfall, whereas mild snowfall was experienced at Manali, Kufri, Narkanda and Khidki in Chopal. Following the snow vehicular traffic was disrupted on Shimla Rohru, Rampur and Chopal road.
The lower reaches of the State experienced rainfall and the weather remained mainly cloudy from past two days.
The Met Department has warned of a hailstorm on the foothills of Himachal Pradesh and heavy rain or snowfall in the higher reaches.
