Rampur: Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh campaign in Rampur assembly segment of Mandi parliamentary segment. In his address he asked BJP leader Prem Kumar Dhumal to think before leveling allegation against the congress leaders and advised stop day-dreaming.

Lambasting at Prem Kumar Dhumal, Singh said that Dhumal appears to be in predicament and due to this was now raking up another issue of re-naming the Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) in the name of Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Chief Minister, said that he had no objection if the BJP does any such thing or indulges in re-naming whatever it likes if in power, but if the BJP tries to change names of the institutions opened during the congress regime it would be given a befitting reply. Singh stated

“I am not personally against former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpyee, as he’s a distinguished politician and respected by all but if BJP tries to re-name the prestigious institutions opened by the Congress Government which includes, IGMC, Shimla, RPGMC Tanda, ESIC Medical college Ner Chowk and many more, the BJP will be deep in hot waters”

Virbhadra Singh said that the congress governments had never differentiated with any area of the state as regards development was concerned, adding that congress led governments had equally given priority to development in Hamirpur district, but when BJP comes to power it indulges in step-motherly treatment as far as development is concerned.

Virbhadra Singh said that Dhumals were reciting ‘Namo, Namo’ as Modi was not an individual but God for them and there was no other leader in BJP other than him. He said that the Chief Minister of Gujarat was being projected in such a way as if only one person is there in BJP who was eligible to become the prime minister of the country.

Virbhadra Singh said that congress holds sway in all the four Lok Sabha constituencies of the state and appealed to the people to vote to strengthen the UPA at the centre.
