The Himachal Pradesh government has finally decided to promote renowned artist Vijay Sharma, a Padma Shri Awardee, from the post of artist to senior artist in recognition of his services in the field of art.
This decision was taken by the state government in the Cabinet meeting, which was presided over by Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal at Shimla recently. Sharma is working as painting artist with Bhuri Singh Museum in Chamba.
