Shimla: Alignment of four laning from Shimla to Kangra Bye Pass has been approved and will be done in 5 packages. The total length of the four laning will be 150 kms.
Additional Chief Secretary (PWD) Manisha Nanda revealed that packages consisting of 25Kms from Shimla to Shalaghat, 36Kms from Shalaghat to Naunighat, 16Kms from Nauni Chowk to Bhagher, 36.6Kms from Bhagher to Hamirpur Bye Pass and 36.4Kms from Hamirpur to Jawalamukhi.
Nanda, in a meeting with the Officers and Engineers of National Highway Authority of India, said that various issues pertaining to Shimla Bye Pass under National Highway DP Phase-III and Municipal Corporation, IPH and Land Acquisition Offices were discussed and sorted out in the meeting.
Engineer-in-Chief (Projects) Er. AK. Chauhan, Regional officer (NHAI) G.S. Sangha, Chief Engineer (SRP) Lokinder Chauhan and other senior officers were also present in the meeting.
