Dharamsala: After former DGP ID Bhandari outburst against the state government decision for withdrawing the criminal case against Singhi Ram, former congress minister and BR Rahi, former Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, BJP Hamirpur MP and BJYM national president Anurag Thakur has questioned the government intention behind it.
Anurag Thakur, who was here to appear before the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau, questioned the need for such decision. He accused Congress led state government for unleashing vendetta politics. Thakur blamed the Government for victimising the HPCA on political ground and to benefit its close one it was withdrawing criminal cases of grievous nature.
Thakur reached at the vigilance office in the old Mini Secretariat building around 9 am. He left after being questioned for around and hour. He was summoned by vigilance in the case of HPCA for alleged encroachment on government land while constructing the international cricket stadium and Pavillion Hotel on the land leased out to the HPCA for construction of a sports hostel.
The state BJP President Satpal Singh Satti has also condemned the Govt decision withdrawing criminal case against Congress leader and corrupt official. In a press communiqué, Satti accused the state government for shielding corrupt officials. He claimed that the state government has also withdrawn cases against many tainted officials.
