Himachal Pradesh failed to get representation in the Union Council of Ministers headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The state BJP was hoping for adequate representation in the Union Council of Ministers and names of veteran BJP leader and former Chief Minister Shanta Kumar and Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) president Anurag Thakur were making the rounds since the poll result.
BJP veteran Shanta Kumar (79), who remained Chief Minister of the state twice and was a cabinet minister in the Vajpayee ministry, is one of most senior party leader in the lower house. However, failing to make in the first list of Modi cabinet, it’s speculating that he can get important responsibility in the government.
