Chandigarh: The Lahaul Spiti Student Association (LSSA) Chandigarh unit has celebrated its Annual Function, TEMDEL at Bal Bhavan Sector 23 Chandigarh.
National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) Vice chairperson and MLA Lahaul & Spiti Ravi Thakur presided over the function and S.L Thakur, Commissioner, Custom and Excise, Ministry of Finance Government of India was Guest of Honour.
While addressing the students, Ravi Thakur said that such events were very important for the development of the students and they should all strive for excellence and never become complacent. He revealed that the world class mediation centre would be constructed at Tabo (Spiti) with the cost of 20 crore.

Earlier, Kunga Bodh, President of LSSA and office bearers of LSSA welcomed the dignitaries and Guest in Traditional Lahaul Spiti style.
Jagdev Chand Thakur, Chief Architect, Military Engineering Service(MES), Ishwer Dutt Sharma (I.E.S.) Joint Director (Design) Military Engineering Service, Bishan Kumar, (Indian Postal Service)Senior Superintendent of Post Offices of the Chandigarh Division, Sudershan Thakur, Advocate & President North India RTI User’s Association, Prem Singh, Dy Inspector General, ITBP and large numbers of Lahaul Spiti Employees serving in Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali were also present in concluding day ceremony.
