The principal of a residential school in Chamba district donated to a relief fund the cash he got as part of the National Award 2010 for Teachers in New Delhi.

G.S. Dhillon, principal of Dalhousie Public School in Dalhousie, was presented the national award by President Pratibha Patil for his outstanding contribution in the field of education.

Dhillon donated the cash prize of Rs.25,000 towards the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund. Dhillon, who was earlier recipient of the best principal’s award given by the human resource development ministry, is retired from the Indian Army.
