Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee welcomed State Budget 2014-15 and said that budget is aimed at providing relief almost every section of the society.
HPCC Spokesperson Naresh Chauhan said that Virbhadra Singh led state government has presented people friendly budget despite limited resources of the state and it is a commendable effort on the part of state government to cover almost every section of the society. “Congress government has provided incentives to agriculturalists, horticulturalists, women, youth, elderly persons and employees especially daily wagers and contractual employees,” Chauhan said.
“The state budget has offered incentives to daily wagers, representatives of PRIs, chowkidars, home guards, anganwari workers and had even proposed to regularise contractual employees,”
Chauhan added that the budget will usher a new area of development in Himachal and the state government has offered incentives to private industries which will generate more employment opportunities to the youth. Besides this, the state government will also recruit 5,000 persons against vacancies in various government departments.
He criticised opposition of playing negative politics by staging walkout during budget session and said that BJP is shying away from responsibility of taking up issues concerning general public.
Vice Chairman State Industries Development Corporation Atul Sharma, Chairman Building and Other Construction Worker Welfare Board Bawa Hardeep Singh and Chairman MILKFED Chet Ram Thakur has termed the Budget as ‘Progressive’ and aimed at ensuring faster, sustainable and more inclusive growth. They said that the budget would give a big boost to the process of industrialization in the State.
They welcomes the announcement of setting up of ‘HP Investment Promotion Cell’ and ‘Industry Advisory Council’ in the State and believe that would go a long way in creating and promoting an investor friendly environment in the State.
